Dave Richards has been with Christensen & Jensen for 24 years and has been a shareholder and director of the firm since 1998. He is one of the few Utah attorneys experienced with vaccine injury cases which require admission to the United States Court of Federal Claims. Dave has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide array of personal injury suits based on product liability, professional negligence, and even premises liability. He has been a litigator during his entire tenure with the firm. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants. He has specialized experience with vaccination injuries and has helped many injury victims bring successful claims for recovery.

He is currently a member of the firm’s executive management committee. Dave also chairs the firm’s Technology Committee. He balances his legal career with his passion for search and rescue, serving as a legal advisor to Rocky Mountain Rescue Dogs. Dave was deployed as a canine handler at the World Trade Center site and to Hurricane Katrina as a member of FEMA’s Utah Task Force 1.

Tanner became an associate with Christensen & Jensen in 2013. Prior to going to law school, Tanner worked in sales, customer service, and technical service areas of the online print company Printingforless.com. While in law school, she clerked with firms in Salt Lake City and Birmingham, Alabama. Her practice at Christensen & Jensen focuses on vaccination injury cases. Originally from Alabama, Tanner and her husband have lived in Utah for over seven years.

Tanner’s practices include assisting clients navigate the claims process of the United States Court of Federal Claims for vaccine injuries.  She works closely with Dave Richards to defend the rights of those who have been affected by vaccinations approved by the government.

Jeff joined Christensen & Jensen as an associate in 2019. His practice areas include complex health care, vaccine injury, and health care education. He is one of only a few Utah attorneys admitted to the United States Court of Federal Claims to handle vaccine injury cases, as well as David Richards of this firm. During his career, Jeff has represented a variety of clients ranging from some of the nation’s largest financial institutions and corporations to individual home buyers. Jeff has represented clients in both state and federal court in Utah and Nevada (via pro hac vice admission). Jeff is currently a member of the executive committee of the Health Law section of the Utah State Bar and will chair the Health Law section from May 2019 to May 2020. He previously served as treasurer, secretary, and vice-chair of the Health Law section.

Jeff clerked for Associate Chief Justice Ronald E. Nehring at the Utah Supreme Court from August 2013 to August 2014. Jeff graduated with honors from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2013. In law school, Jeff was a semi-finalist in the Traynor Moot Court competition, a William H. Leary Scholar, a teaching assistant in legal writing, and the executive managing editor and symposium editor of the Journal of Law and Family Studies. Jeff also helped create and direct a pro bono legal clinic and was a graduate research fellow in the Center for Law and Biomedical Sciences. Jeff has also published an article on gestational surrogacy and the Family Medical Leave Act. Prior to law school, Jeff worked in hospital administration at the University of Utah, Health Science Center.
